Paul Harvey Aurandt (September 4, 1918 – February 28, 2009) was an American radio broadcaster whose career spanned over six decades. He was best known for his news and commentary program, "The Rest of the Story," which aired on more than 1,200 radio stations across the United States. Early Life and Career

Harvey was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1918. He developed a passion for radio at a young age, and by the time he was 14, he had his own radio show on a local station. After graduating from high school, Harvey attended the University of Tulsa, where he studied journalism.

In 1940, Harvey dropped out of college to join the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He served as a pilot and flew over 40 combat missions. After the war, Harvey returned to Tulsa and resumed his broadcasting career.
